About Dr. Mary

As a naturopathic physician, Dr. Mary looks at every aspect of your health – body, mind, emotions, and spirit – to understand how imbalances can occur. She believes they’re all connected, so when one area is off, it can affect the others. Dr. Mary’s goal is to help you not only get back to your best but also to thrive and become more resilient.

She enjoys working at the foundation of health – specifically metabolic health – which influences all other body systems. For her, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, thyroid issues, and digestive disturbances are just some of the signs of metabolic dysfunction. She also has experience in preconception and fertility (for all genders) and mental health, particularly depression and anxiety. She’s always learning and loves unraveling complex health issues.

Expect more than just pharmaceuticals from Dr. Mary. Alongside traditional medications, she offers natural alternatives herbal and homeopathic remedies that stimulate the body’s natural healing capacities, working collaboratively on lifestyle and nutritional modifications, and using supplements when appropriate to support deficient body systems. Dr. Mary graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine, specializing in botanical and anthroposophic medicine. She served in community clinics across Portland and even provided care in rural Nicaragua.

When she’s not working, Dr. Mary’s a mom to two kids and a pup. She enjoys Argentine tango, hiking to waterfalls, and soaking up the ocean vibes. She also speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
