This position requires a medical assistant to work directly with the attending and resident physicians to perform naturopathic hydrotherapy procedures, vaccine administration, and lab collection for patient care in addition to administrative responsibilities.  Naturopathic hydrotherapy consists of specially timed, hot and cold applications to affect circulation and the use of physiologically compatible electrotherapy devices to stimulate organ function as prescribed by the physician in the treatment of many medical conditions, both acute and chronic.  All needed training for naturopathic hydrotherapy administration will be provided.

The ideal applicant will have experience in the medical field as a medical assistant or similar, be energetic, enthusiastic, cheerful and outgoing, dependable and take direction well.  You would also need to enjoy a fast-paced environment. We aim to provide a friendly, caring atmosphere for our patients and our employees.

NEEDED SKILLS:

  • Medical experience with some knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work with Windows and perform basic charting of vitals, minimal subjective patient information, and administered treatments.
  • Able to collect standard vitals: BP, Temp, O2 sat, HR, weight and height, occasionally other parameters if needed.
  • Blood collection skills and Universal Precaution Safety Practices.
  • Vaccination Administration Training
  • Understanding of standard medical office procedures.
  • Foresight to see when tasks need completing and initiative to see they get done.
  • Willing to be a part of a team.
  • Non-smoking, please.
  • Interest in natural healing and naturopathic medicine.
  • Ability to stay on time with tasks and treatment during the work day.
  • Ability to multi-task well.

BONUS SKILLS:

  • Experience with Naturopathic practice and Naturopathic Hydrotherapy or similar (sometimes called Constitutional Hydrotherapy or Bio-electric Thermal Therapy by various offices).
  • Experience with CHARM EHR.
  • Experience with low-voltage alternating current (sine wave), diathermy and high-frequency (violet ray) medical devices.

Hours would be weekdays, 8 AM – 5 PM most days, but there is some flexibility.  The position has the future ability for advancement as our clinic grows (which is happening quite quickly!).

Starting Pay: $15/hour
