Ruth Jessie Edwards , MN, FNP-BC, helps adults find and answer those questions with primary care in Portland. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she connects the dots between your health history, laboratory results, medications, daily habits, and long-term goals.

Maybe your cholesterol or blood sugar is beginning to rise. Maybe you want more energy, healthier habits, or a better plan for aging well. Jessie takes time to understand who you are, what’s changing, what you have already tried, what medications or supplements you take, and what you hope to accomplish. You are never left to interpret everything alone. 

She brings nearly 20 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner and more than four decades in nursing. That experience taught her to begin with listening. Her approach is collaborative, bringing you into the decision-making process, while remaining grounded in evidence-informed medicine.

Jessie earned her Master of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Washington State University, graduating summa cum laude. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Outside of the clinic, Jessie enjoys the Oregon beach, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family.
