About Dr. Joshua Corn

 

I love teaming up with my patients to help them achieve their goals by empowering them to make changes that will make them happier and healthier.

 

Dr. Corn is a naturopathic primary care physician specializing in evidence informed, body positive, integrative treatment approaches. Dr. Corn strives to take the time to get to know you, discussing your concerns, goals, and questions at each visit. He believes in a team-based approach and wants to empower you to make changes in your life that will improve your physical, mental, and social health. To make sure you have a plan that is right for your individual needs, he utilizes everything from herbal formulas to diet recommendations to conventional pharmaceutical medications in his practice.

In his holistic practice, Dr. Corn focuses on integrative primary care, men’s health, chronic disease management, cardiovascular conditions, and weight-neutral nutrition and exercise counseling. His top priority is making sure his recommendations are based on the best available scientific and historical evidence. He holds a master’s degree in integrative medicine research and has worked as a clinical investigator on numerous research studies. Dr. Corn practices body positive medicine, emphasizing health and wellness for every patient, no matter their weight or body size. Dr. Corn’s goal is to bring high quality, compassionate, informed care to all his patients.

Dr. Corn completed his medical training and three years of primary care naturopathic residency at National University of Natural Medicine. His internship included a one-year mentorship in naturopathic cardiopulmonary medicine and numerous rotations working with underserved populations in NUNM’s community health centers. During residency, Dr. Corn completed a one-year mentorships in naturopathic EENT (eyes, ears, nose and throat) and biotherapeutic drainage, as well as external rotations in integrative medicine, pulmonology, and infectious disease with doctors at OHSU, Providence, and the VA Hospital.

In addition to his work at Northwest Integrative Medicine, Dr. Corn teaches men’s reproductive health at National University of Natural Medicine and biomedical science at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Corn also provides naturopathic services at Volunteers of America Oregon’s Men’s Residential Center, a residential substance abuse rehabilitation facility. 

Outside work, Dr. Corn enjoys hiking and camping in the great outdoors across the Pacific Northwest, exploring Portland’s food scene, powerlifting, and talking about North Carolina.
