Hello, future patients!
I’m Dr. Martha Pace, a first-year resident naturopathic physician who recently joined Northwest Integrative Medicine. While I see all primary and acute care, much of my clinical background is in mental health conditions, LGBTQIA+ care and gender-affirming hormone therapy, hormone balancing, and cardiac conditions. My main goal with patients is to identify the root cause of issues and work with you to develop a sustainable strategy for treatment and support. Finding a sweet spot in health often means blending multiple modalities to achieve the desired results, and I love naturopathic medicine’s ability to do this.
As a patient myself, I want a provider who takes the time to educate me, sees me as the totality of my lived experience and keeps an open mind as we figure out solutions together. This is the provider that I strive to be for you. As a physician, I hope to reduce any fears or hesitations around medical care by creating a safe environment without placing morality or judgment on any part of your life. As a fellow person, I aim to bring light and hope to your healing journey while uplifting you during the not-so-great times.
One of the reasons why I love being a doctor is because it allows me to hear the stories of my community. While I’m originally from Buffalo, NY (*waves to fellow east coasters*), I’ve lived all over, and it is in the richness and complexity of the lives around me that I found home and meaning. My approach to medicine is the culmination of my experiences in the world—like sewing together patches of fabric to make a complete blanket. I recognize that in this same way, your health is the sum of the life lived in your body, environment, and circumstance, and it is important to me to honor that during our visits.
I am excited to be providing care and receiving mentorship at Northwest Integrative. I look forward to hearing your story and hope I can be a part of it soon.
In Health,
Dr. Pace
